Our California adventure continued at a beach house in Oceanside for a week. The house was incredible. We loved that it was right on the beach so we could be out having fun in the sun while the kids took their naps. We soaked in as many rays as our white Minnesota bodies could handle and had the best time being together with everyone.
We played hard during the day going to the park, playing in the sand, surfing and swimming and relaxed at night with smores at the firepit and evening spiritual thoughts that everyone took turns giving.
Syd's then boyfriend (now fiancé!) Jaren came and we had the greatest time getting to know him better. Brody considers Jaren his new best friend and was the first person he'd ask to see every morning when we'd wake up.
Eric and I were able to go on a date to San Diego the last night of our trip and we absolutely fell in love with the city. We took advantage of our kids free time (a million thanks to my mom and dad) by shopping and meeting Kellyn and Ryan downtown to see a Padres game. We will definitely be back someday!
Another incredible family trip in the books! Thanks, Mom and Dad, for providing us with the opportunity to go on such an amazing trip and bringing us all together. We love you so much!
