We could not be more proud of Eric for graduating last week from BYU's MBA program! What a long but crazy fast two years. We were talking the other day about how much has changed since Eric decided to go to grad school... Eric quit his job, we moved to Lehi, had a baby, I went from working full time to part time, Eric spent 3 months in St Louis... and now we are looking to move again in the next month.
This has been such a hard but great chapter in our lives. Eric has always been motivated and such a hard worker, and he really proved that while in this program. He says this is by far the hardest thing he's ever experienced. Especially in his first year, he would go to classes all day then would stay up until 2 or 3 in the morning most nights studying. We didn't see much of each other a lot of the time because he was so busy, but he always made a special effort to spend a little quality time with me and made sure I felt loved every day. There haven't been many nights in the past two years that we have gone to bed at the same time, which is something I'm really looking forward to again!
Eric's parents drove all the way out from Wisconsin to be here for Eric's graduation, and it was really special to have them there. His brother Jeremy and our niece McKenna also flew out from Illinois to be there which was so nice. The graduation itself lasted about 2.5 hours because it was for the undergrads too, but Brody was a trooper and my mom was a huge help with keeping him entertained. Gail Miller spoke and had some really insightful things to say. Then we headed up to Sundance for a big celebratory dinner, which was absolutely beautiful! Such a special day!
