My First Baby Shower

My amazing cousin Christa threw me a family baby shower at her beautiful house the week after Christmas and it was such a fun time. I feel so grateful to have such amazing women to look up to and go to for advice as I take this new plunge into motherhood. I must admit that I felt slightly overwhelmed by the smattering of stories and advice from these women who have mountains of experience with babies and being mothers, but I am also grateful that a lot of things about motherhood won't come as such a shocking surprise as they come my way. It was so cute- after all of the women took turns in a circle giving me advice, my grandma came up to me and said "Now let me give you my REAL advice... Don't listen to a word of advice anyone gives you! You will figure it out as you go along."

I love my family so much!
