Getting The Hang of Things...

I think we are starting to get the hang of this having two kids thing. Most nights I still reflect back on the day and wonder how I could have handled certain situations better and brainstorm ways I can try to give both kids more one-on-one attention, but that's just a part of being a mom right?! I never thought the most adventurous (and scary) thing I could do in a day would be to simply leave the house, but I still get nervous even if it's just a small errand we have to run. Hopefully that will get better with time.

Brooklyn is a trooper and has really learned to go with the swing of things. Most days we venture out of the house in hopes of burning off some of her brother's seemingly endless energy. She gets to snuggle up next to me in the Baby Bjorn as we explore each new place, so she doesn't seem to mind too much.

Brody is as energetic and wild as ever, but he has learned to be "soft" with his sister most of the time. He'll still go up and shake her swing while she's peacefully drifting off to sleep or try to lay on her, but it's all out of love and playfulness. He loves sharing his toys with her and giving her hugs. I know it won't always be this way, so I'm trying to take advantage of it while I can! Brody has such a tender and sweet side to him. It truly melts my heart.

We bought a season's pass to the Minnesota Zoo which is right down the street from us, so that's been a really fun new favorite outing. We've also been taking advantage of having the Mall of America just 10 minutes away from our house. Brody could run around there for hours and hours and never get bored.

I really love the days we can just stay at home and all snuggle up on the couch together, especially now that it's starting to get a little chillier outside. Our favorite movies to watch lately are Cars and Toy Story 2 and 3. I could watch those movies over and over again all day if it means I get to snuggle both of my cute kiddos. Those are the moments that make all of the craziness worth it.

Double snuggle time!
Hugs and kisses for baby sis
Baths are always more fun when you've got a friend by your side.
Hand holding and truck sharing. Nothing makes a mom happier.
