Brody: 21 Months

• Brody is at such a fun and active stage! He is constantly on the move, unless there's a movie on or he is playing on the ipad (two of his very favorite things, of course) His new favorite thing is to ask to watch a "show" and point to the tv. We try to limit his screen time, but when he does get to watch his favorites are the Toy Story movies, Cars and Micky Mouse Clubhouse.
• He is learning to hold my hand and walk with me when we are out and about, but most of the time he just wants to run wild and free! He is getting more coordinated but usually leans forward and leads with his head when he is running, which can be dangerous when you have a head as big as his!
• He gets so excited when people are around, especially other kids. He runs in circles and giggles and screams like he just can't hold in all of his excitement! It makes me smile every time.
• He is getting a lot better at talking and repeats most words I say to him. We're still working on communicating things he wants or needs, but he's getting there. My favorite is when I hear him from the other room looking at books and "reading" them to himself. I just love it! His favorite new word is "again" and he says it at the end of every book we read, song we sing, or show we watch.
• He sleeps 12 hours a night and takes a nice 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon. He is our all star sleeper, although he recently started climbing (more like falling) out of his crib so I'm hoping the end of that isn't near.
• Brody loves mimicking the things I do. He'll even lift his shirt up and try to feed the baby sometimes! haha He tries to make his stuffed animals do things he sees Eric and me do like kiss, hug and hold hands.
• Cars are his very favorite thing to play with. He will line his cars up all day, every day and just isn't quite content until they look just perfect. He also loves balls, farm animals and dinosaurs.
• Brody loves going to nursery at church. We drop him off and he truly never looks back. I love how excited he gets when he's around other kids!
• Brody loves to "dance" to music. I hold him and he puts his head in my shoulder and cuddles into me. And I close my eyes and soak it all in because I know I'll blink twice and he'll be too big to dance with his mama.
• He is our sweet and loving boy. As active as he is, he will still cuddle and look at me as I sing him a song before bedtime, or go around the room giving people hugs or give baby sis kisses and loves. I love that he has his sweet sensitive side.
