We were so lucky to have a lot of help after Brooklyn was born. My mom arrived on Saturday evening and brought a huge surprise with her... Erin! Eric left to pick my mom up at the airport and when I heard the garage go up I hurried over to meet them. My mom told me that she thought she saw something on my doorstep when they had pulled up, and when I went to the door Erin was there! It definitely topped the list of the biggest surprises of my life!
It was so fun having them both here and getting to spend so much time with them. The only great thing about living away from family is how special it is when you do get to see them. Brody loved having them here to play with, and it gave me a great chance to focus a lot on Brooklyn and to catch up on some much needed sleep.
Erin had to leave after a week, but my mom was able to stay and pamper us for two whole weeks. She helped us with so much and we were in absolutely heaven while she was here. I don't know how we would have survived those first couple of weeks without her, and it was so incredibly hard to let her go. We were so lucky that Kellyn came and stayed for us for a few days after she left. She was our live-in chef/maid/nanny while she was here and did so much to help us!
I feel so blessed to have such an amazing family. We can't wait for it to be Christmas so we can see them all again!
