Visiting Our Hard Working Man in St Louis

We got to travel to St Louis to visit Eric for two whole weeks and had the time of our lives. Even though we had just seen Eric a few weeks before when he surprised me for my birthday, we were anxious to get over there and get some quality husband/dad time. We actually got to fly into Wisconsin and visit Eric's family for a few days and go to a dear friend's wedding which was so much fun. Eric's family haven't had much Brody time since they all live so far away so we loved being able to spend a few days with them.

I was incredibly nervous to fly with Brody for the first time, especially since I was doing it alone. But he was an incredible traveler the whole trip. He was so good on the plane and everything was a breeze. Then we made the six hour drive from Madison to St Louis after Eric's friend Ryan's wedding, and he was so good and just slept the whole drive. What a blessing!

Being in St Louis with Eric was incredible. St Louis itself is a really cool place and we had so much fun exploring it, but we really could have been anywhere because it was being with him that made it so fun. We got to do and see so much. I could not be prouder of how hard Eric has been working this summer. This internship has been incredibly busy and hard, but Eric has really taken it all in stride and giving it all he's got. I'm so lucky to have such a hard working ambitious for a husband.

My amazing little travel buddy. We were even lucky enough to get our own row on one of the flights. Score!
My son, the cheese head. Soaking up his first trip to Wisco!
Eric's good friend Matt meeting Brody for the first time at Ryan's wedding.
Loving the air show at the St Louis Arch on the fourth of July!
The trip to St Louis wouldn't be complete without some real barbeque cookin. Even Brody wanted in on the action.
Brody's first ferris wheel ride. He loved it so much he spit up all over as we got off. Maybe we'll wait until he's a little older for the next ride...
Look at those faces... soaking up as much daddy time as he possibly can until he comes home in one month!
