Eric's Summer Internship

 Eric left two weeks ago for his summer internship in St Louis and man, have we have been missing him lots. He is having a great experience so far and really enjoying the company he is working for as well as the excitement of living in a new city. He even got to travel "home" to Wisconsin for one of his best friends' birthdays and got to see his family while he was there.

Since Eric is a full-time student, I had to return back to work the week Eric left (mostly to keep our health insurance) and had to send Eric off for this summer adventure without Brody and me. It's been a tough transition for both of us living so far apart, but we're so lucky to live in a time where we can stay connected by talking and Skyping every day. I have the amazing support of my family, which has made all the difference for me so far and has really helped ease the loneliness of Eric's absence. Luckily, Eric has two big projects to keep him busy throughout the summer and to help keep his mind off our being so far away.

Brody and I are going to visit him at the end of June and I absolutely can't wait to see him! The next few weeks cannot go fast enough.

My sister Kellyn got to see Eric last weekend and go to a Cardinal's game! It just so happens that her boyfriend's family lives in St Louis and they went to visit them. Eric was in heaven with seats right behind home plate thanks to Ryan's awesome dad.
