Pre-Christmas Festivities 2010

As I was running some errands today, I couldn't help but think about how excited I am for this beautiful Christmas season to be upon us. I kept singing"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas..." to myself as I walked and drove around with the beautiful snowflakes softly falling all around me. I absolutely LOVE this time of year.

One of the things I love most about this season is the time spent with dear family and friends. We had such a wonderful weekend. We hung out with my sister Erin on Friday, with dinner at the fabulous Costa Vida then games afterward at our place. I absolutely LOVE spending time with Erin because she is always just so much fun to be around. Saturday we had so much fun going to dinner with my bestie Heather and Jerry and having one last game night before their little baby boy comes in just a couple weeks! I cannot wait for her to be a momma! The night was complete when my dear friend Melissa and her husband Jeff came over to play some games with us.

Sunday was the best. We had my family over to our cozy little apartment for a little Christmas celebration. We are going to spend Christmas with Eric's family, so we got together to celebrate Christmas a little early with a gift exchange and game night. This will be my first Christmas away from home, so it was so nice to get the chance to still celebrate with my family. I got a sewing machine from my parents, and I cannot wait to get it out and give it a whirl!!

Now tomorrow we are off on our road trip to the land of cows and cheese. I can't wait to spend 20 hours in a car next to my favorite person and for all of the fun that is to be had!
