A Little History

Eric and I have done so many fun things throughout our year of dating. I thought I'd dedicate a post to highlight some of the best times we've had. I feel so lucky to be able to marry someone who I am best friends with and who I have so much fun with.

This is the first picture Eric and I ever took together. It was at my sister Kellyn's soccer game in the first couple weeks after we met.
Our first Halloween together! Eric was so proud of his pumpkin idea of having a smaller pumpkin in a bigger pumpkin's mouth making that face... and it turned out great! This was the first night Eric met Heather, which was a momentous occasion.
We went to a Goo Goo Dolls concert where we just laughed and had such a fun time! This is when I was starting to realize how much I liked Eric and how much fun I had with him.
Eric was a rock star, but that didn't mean I couldn't keep up with him in a mean game of guitar hero... well, it kind of did, because he wasted me every time we played.
The beginning of love... of the Wing Coop, that is! This was on Halloween and the first night we ever got wings together at Wing Coop, which turned out to be a long time favorite of Eric's.
This was after the first concert that I ever saw Eric perform in. He was in a cover band called the DeLoreans, and they had a huge concert at Eric's house in the huge living room. It was a ton of fun and I have to admit that I was definitely turned on by his guitar skills...
This was one of the most memorable nights of Eric and I's relationship- the New Kids On The Block Concert! Eric and his sister Laura have loved New Kids since they were young, but the one time they had a chance to see them in concert it ended up being canceled, leaving a "large void" in Eric's life. Watching Eric and how happy he was at this concert made me totally fall in love with him. He was LOVING life, and I was so happy to experience the filling of this "gaping hole" with him. :)
We went to a lot of University of Utah football games the fall that we started dating. They had an awesome year and it was so fun learning that we shared a love for football!
My sister Erin was dating Otis at the time Eric and I started dating, and he played on the Utah State football team. We went up to one of his games and I was able to show Eric around Logan where I spent four years at college. Eric had memories of Logan when his brother Jeff went to school up there and he would visit him, so it was fun to drive around and find the trailer park where he would visit Jeff.
We went to a Salt Lake Bee's game for Eric's birthday with Laura and Scot, which was so much fun! This picture always makes us laugh because you can see the outline of the man in the bee costume's face... creeeepy!
We had a lot of fun going on a double date with Heather and Jerry to dinner and Hollywood Connection to play games!
This was the first time I went with Eric to Wisconsin to visit his family and friends. I was so nervous! But everyone was so kind and welcoming to me and I left feeling really happy that we had gotten along so well.
This picture just makes me laugh! We went to a party store one day and just walked around having fun and laughing our heads off. I loved how much fun I ALWAYS had with Eric.
We were both in school at this point, and one day we just wanted to relieve some stress and forget about homework and have some fun. So we went to Boondocks and hit some balls in the batting cages, mini-golfed, went on go-carts and just played. It was so much fun.
This was a day to remember. Eric's car broke down on our drive back from Vegas. The worst part was that we were down there with my family, and my dad and Erin were in the car with us. Eric had just bought this car the month earlier, and the engine completely blew. We had to call a tow truck to get us to Mesquite, stay there for the night, find a guy to drive us to St George (turns out Mesquite is pretty much a crap hole with no car rental places), and rent a car to drive to Salt Lake. Definitely a trip we will NEVER forget!
We absolutely love to go to movies together and saw lots during our dating.
Eric graduated from the University of Utah in Business Marketing in April 2010! He also went through the temple for the first time that same weekend (Draper Temple). His brothers Jeremy and Jeff and his parents came into town to celebrate those two exciting momentous occasions in his life.
Love this picture. Both trying to fit into his graduation gown. :)
We had a lot of time boating that summer with my family.
Eric was lucky to find a great marketing job at Orbit the month after he graduated. Eric's brother-in-law Scot worked as an engineer there, so we all went to the Orbit Lagoon day together in our matching shirts! So much fun.
At a Bee's game on the fourth of July.
Eric got be a Badger's shirt when he was in Wisconsin for a trip that summer. Love it!
We hung out with Eric's good friend Sean-Paul and his wife Jen a lot while we were dating. They are such great friends and we always have so much fun with them. Sean-Paul is a huge vikings fan, so we always got together for the big Packer-Vikings match ups
We got invited to a big Halloween party at Heather's house, so we had to have a fun couples costume. We looked high and low and tried to think of a good idea for weeks, and finally found these awesome babies on sale! I altered mine to be a girl penguin. :)
This was pretty much the best Utah Jazz game EVER. I don't even remember if they won, but this big guy at the concessions stand gave us all this food for like $8! So awesome!

Here is to forever together!
