Brody: Preschool, Potty Training and Being 3 and a Half

Our Brody boy started preschool last week and I can't help but turn sentimental with this big step. He is such a special boy and I wish I could stop time and bottle his sweet personality up forever. I have been reflecting on how much he has grown lately yet how he remains so innocent and unique.

Brody continues to be passionate and spirited. He feels things deeply and does everything with a zest unmatched by others. He continues to have endless energy but can also sit peacefully through reading a comic book or watching a movie. He is excitable and expressive and wears all of his emotions right on his sleeve.

When he gets his mind set on things there is no distracting him, but he is gaining a better understanding of patience and time. He has been talking about Halloween and picking pumpkins since July. When I tell him we will do those things as soon as October comes, he opens his arms wide and gives me a spirited hug while saying "ah, thanks mom!"

He loves little more than wrestling with dad. But he still loves snuggling up with mom in the afternoons for some quiet time and a show while Brooklyn naps. For being a whirlwind of endless energy he is sure tender hearted.

Potty training has taken time and patience from all involved! But he has it (mostly) down now and is doing awesome.

We sure love you, bubba! Thank you for being the sweet, loving, good boy you are.
