Eric wasn't able to make the trip with us since he was busy working hard at his internship in St Louis, and to say that we missed him would be an understatement. I can't wait to go back there with him hopefully soon. An 11 hour road trip with a 5 month old sounds a little bit daunting, but not when you have awesome entertainers along for the ride. My sisters were so amazing and made sure Brody always had something fun to look at!
What better way to start the trip off than two days at Disneyland?! We were able to get 4 free two-day hopper passes because my dad is in the media (who knew?!) and I was able to get 3 more from work for a discounted price. Preeetty awesome. I totally felt like a kid again as we walked around and went on all the rides. Brody totally loved being there and soaked it all in... just kidding. He won't remember a single moment of it all, but it will be fun to show him pictures someday of him at Disneyland as a 5 month old. Plus, going to Disneyland with an infant is so awesome because whoever waits with the infant while everyone else goes on a ride gets a pass to go to the front of the line with a guest, so someone always got to ride each ride twice. Score! Brody was seriously a trooper and was so good as we hauled him around those two days. He absolutely LOVED the fireworks at the end of the first day and just couldn't get enough of them. It was so cute to watch!
We got our fill after two days at the most magical place on earth and spent the rest of the day relaxing at Seal Beach. We had never been to Seal Beach and had a lot of fun exploring the little main street and walking down the pier. Brody got his first taste of what it's like to be a beach babe and enjoyed some naps with the ocean breeze blowing
Until next time, Cali!
