The Prices Write: Brody: 1 Week

It's crazy to think that our little Brody Man is already a week old. He is the sweetest little boy and has added such an amazingly sweet spirit into our little home. He has already changed a lot and I feel like we are getting to know him and what he needs and wants much better than day 1. We love having him as part of our family. It's so much fun seeing how excited Eric is to see us when he gets home from school each day. Brody loves when dad gets home so he can snuggle up with him and sleep. I am getting more sleep each night and getting better at figuring out what the little man wants throughout the day. He is starting to nurse better and for longer periods, which hopefully means he will start sleeping for longer periods of time, too (one can only hope!).

I feel like Brody and I really had a chance to bond this week. I was with him just about every second of every day and night. I don't think I slept more than 3 hours any night, but I loved having the chance to snuggle up and spend so much time with him. I am already dreading when he gets to old to snuggle with me!

His umbilical cord already fell off when he was 5 days old, which was pretty fast but his belly button looks really good. Eric almost ate the umbilical cord stump by accident, which was absolutely hilarious! I had it in my hand to show him and he looked at it and thought about it for a second, then said "no thanks." I looked at him funny which is when he realized what it was- he had thought it was a dried cranberry or raisin. We laughed all night about that one!

The first movie Brody man "watched" was Rocky 2, of course his dad's choice. Although I must say, I actually enjoyed it a lot too! I think Sylvester Stallone his pretty hilarious in that role. I got to choose the next movie he watched, so we watched Justin Bieber: Never Say Never! And I loved every second of it (I'm pretty sure Brody did too...)
