The Lombardi Trophy Is Coming Back To Green Bay

The build up of this Super Bowl was enormous in the Price household. We had watched almost all the games at Laura and Scot's house and had even gone to one of the big final games of the season at Lambeau Field. So a party was in order. And party, we did.

The game started off amazingly with a Packer touchdown by Jordy Nelson followed by a pick-six to put the Packers up 14-0. After the Packer's held the Steelers to a field goal, our man Jarrett Bush came up with a HUGE interception which set the Packers up for a big 21-10 lead at halftime.

The air in the room was tense as the third quarter came to an end. The Packer's game-long lead had dwindled to 4 points, the Steelers were driving with force down the field, and two of the Packer's best starters were injured and not returning the rest of the game.

Cue: Clay Matthews, who caused a fumble, leading to a touchdown to put the Packers up 28-17.

With two minutes left, the Packers were up 31-25, and we held our breath as the Steelers tried to drive down the field. But time was too short, especially with only one remaining timeout, and the Packer's defense pulled out a monster stop just like they had so many other times this season.

We all jumped out of our seats because THE PACKERS HAD WON THE SUPER BOWL!!!

What a game!

Fun Super Bowl cupcakes :)
I knew we were going to win before the game even started
Kellyn joined the Packer fun and just chuckled every time we all were jumping up and down acting like maniacs.
Scot, Laura and Quin (coming soon!)
Eric's mom COMPLETELY surprise everyone by showing up the morning of the game from Wisconsin! The party would not have been complete without her.
Eric's brother Jeremy also traveled from Chicago with his daughter McKenna to watch the game with the fam.
Cute McKenna.
The party was really hopping at this point...
SUPER BOWL CHAAAAMPIONS
Wooooohoooooo!
The happiest man alive.
Some great things happened in this moment:

1. Eric knew that his leather Packer hat/helmet was indeed good luck because the Packers didn't lose a single game after we bought it at the Packer game.
2. We realized that WE are good luck because the Packers hadn't lost a game after the game we went to.
3. Aaron Rodgers would now forever be out of the shadow of "Brent" Favre.
4. I realized that I should start sports betting. I predicted a 31-24 Packer win in overtime. The final score was 31-25 (and that was only because the Steelers had gone for a two-point conversion and got it).

And most importantly...

4. Eric finally forgave Jarrett Bush for "losing the NFC Championship" 3 years ago (we are still working on those whole holding grudges thing...)

GO PACK!
