1. Spending Thanksgiving day with my family. We headed over to my parents' house early in the afternoon to help get dinner ready. It was so much fun having all of us in the kitchen cooking and getting everything ready together. I have loved watching how well Eric has grown to fit into my family, and I was reminded of that as I looked over to see him and Taylor peeling the potatoes, discussing the ups and downs of being the youngest in the family. We had such an amazingly good dinner! My dad even contributed with an awesome new green bean dish that he had found on the internet. I don't think I'll ever forget that image of him cutting up the green beans and manning the skillet! We played some games with the whole family after we ate and had so much fun just spending quality time together.
2. Being in Park City for the weekend on a getaway for two. Eric's parents were so nice and offered us use of their time share as a wedding gift, so we finally cashed in and went on a fun trip up to Park City for the weekend. It was soooo relaxing!
3. Going to the outlets for some good old fashioned Black Friday shopping. I have never been shopping in the wee hours of the morning on Black Friday, so we decided to ease into it by going to the outlets at midnight on Thursday night. And my goodness, was it CROWDED! I had never seen anything like it! We were lucky to find a parking spot quick or else I think we may have given up and gone home. hehe But we ended up finding some great deals! Which leads to....
5. Having all of our Christmas shopping done. I got a little carried away this year and had almost all of it done before Thanksgiving, but we got the last few presents this weekend and it feels so good!
6. Going to Red Rock... twice! Red Rock is one of my very favorite restaurants. Not the healthiest option, I know, but their mozzarella sticks are my very favorite. I love them!
7. Seeing two great movies: First, Harry Potter. I have always been a HUGE Harry Potter fan, and while I feel like I've outgrown the desire to stand in lines for hours on opening night like I used to, I still could not wait to see the latest installment. And it did not disappoint! Eric is not even a huge fan, but he definitely liked this one the best of all the movies so far. I can't wait to see the next one! And movie number two: Tangled! I absolutely LOVED this movie. It was so dang cute! And the animation is totally amazing. Definitely one of my new favorites.
8. A great UTE win over BYU! The game was totally wild! I would for sure say that I have turned into a Ute fan, but I am definitely not one of those people who despise and hate BYU. So regardless of who won, I'm so glad that the Utes and Coug's last conference rivalry game ended with such a bang. I mean, it doesn't get any closer then 17-16 because of a blocked kick in the final seconds! We drove down to watch the game with my family because it became sort of a weekly tradition this year to watch college football all Saturday at my parent's house. My grandma and mom would usually go upstairs and watch the Cougars while Erin, Eric and I would watch the Utes downstairs. My grandma hates all things Utes and red, so it's an understatement to say that she was not happy at all about the outcome. I don't think she said a word after the game for 20 minutes, and after that the only thing she could say was that she couldn't face the thought of going to church the next day and facing all of the Ute fans in her ward! Oh, Grandma. We sure do love ya.
9. Walking along Main Street. It was absolutely gorgeous. And we had a celebrity spotting! We saw Katherine Heigl (I've never been a huge fan... but still fun to see her in person) and...... James Marsden! Now, the name might not sound familiar, but he is Corny Collins in Hairspray, the main guy in 27 Dresses, Cyclops in X-Men, the prince in Enchanted, and my favorite... Lon in The Notebook (who Allie's engaged to and leaves for Noah). He was just as cute in person as he is on screen, I might add!

10. Snuggling by the fire and playing games with Eric. This was the best part of the weekend- just being together, relaxing, and getting away from the worries and stresses of life. Eric has been so busy lately between his new responsibilities at work and applications for business school that it was especially nice to see him relax and enjoy some time off. We had so much fun sleeping in, cuddling by the fireplace in our room (there was tons of snow and it got down to below zero degrees a couple of the nights so we had to stay warm!), and playing boardgames until the wee hours of the morning.

Okay, this looks like the most AMAZING thanksgiving weekend! I love Katherine Heigle (mainly because of Grey's) so that is SO cool that you got to see her in person! AND... RedRock! SO yummy! Glad it was a good one for you :) You never mentioned the mozzarella sticks at our outing! We'll have to get them next time :)
Sounds like such a fun weekend! I can't believe your celebrity spottings! I love James Marsden! So fun!
